Nice one - I am ... Nice one - I am about to build a similar stove, out of a 4.5kg cylinder, for a tipi to take on canoe trips - nice & dinky. Have you finished the stove? yet? how does it burn & have you any tips for me before I start on mine? Like the disc brake btw nice idea all the best.

Nice...Wood burners ... Nice...Wood burners made from calor gas bottles were pretty standard kit on most of? the buses and trailers of my friends... obviously with a chimney and a door, meant for heat as opposed to being able to cook on it
I don't know how ... I don't know how well versed you are in welding but I thought there were problems welding cast steel to cold-rolled or cast to cast. I don't? know, your call there.

Surely with a bit ... Surely with a bit more research these stoves would? be far more efficient if they were used to create "Rocket Stoves" if you have not heard of them look them up, it is really the way to go.

I made a stove ... I made a stove using an old gas bottle for my dining room a few months ago and it has served really well. You will need a good air inlet (mine is around 3 inches? pipe with a butterfly type valve to control the air and hence the burn. Also go for at least a 4 inch out-pipe for the flu or you might not be able to get rid of the smoke quick enough - Good luck - ps instead of using an angle grinder (I used one initially) use a jigsaw with a steel cutting blade Mac
